3rd weekend - 17th and 18th Sept... Portobello Market n Cambridge - part 2

on sunday... went to this legendary Cambridge... the place where my O level and A level papers are set and marked at... i mean in some way or another, it influenced my life especially when at that age, right?

Cambridge is an old town with more than 32 colleges... such as Trinity College, King's College, Queen's College... etc... and alot of bicycles... around 13 000... which is alot... =)
Me, Angkit, Hur Ming and Akino went there together...
Saw the green leaky soup river... seriously, there are stale and stagnant and yucky... except that the colour is really green and the colour tones are nice though..

Went walking around the town with this lady called Eileen as our guide... She told us lots of stories about the students' pranks such as putting cars that the roof of schools, making a clothes hanging line from one spire to another and drying their clothes up there... and one there they put up a flag on top of the spire and finally the school decided to build scarfolding to take it down... took them 3 days to build it and on the night of the 2nd day, the notty student shifted the flag to the left spire.. making the building of scarfolding a total waste... hhmm... let me tell you that the spire are really tall and high... like around 6 to 7 storeys high... i realy wonder how could they have climbed so high to put their stuffs up there.. hhmm...

and also visit Netwon's apple tree.. and seen his room's window...

had lunch in an apple farm... and yup saw 2 white ponies at the farm.. so short and cute.. but i am still afraid of them though...

and done PUNTING.. the only action activities for the day... we did it for Free! ha... cos hah.. we bluffed our way through... it was fun.. the young professional Punter is suave and tells good nice stories of cambridge... Easy to be a Full time Punter? Not as easy as you think.. he has to go through Exams (yes,!) and interviews... seen this bridge built based on the theory of circle.. so when extended, it forms a nice circle...

just a lazy afternoon there in cambridge.. happy... =)

gotta go home and shopping... and dinner with the IT people...
