Cornwall is the 'state';
Penzence is the town where the last train station nearest to the southwest is;
Land's End is the most southwest point of the UK land & is 1 hour away from Penzence in the direction of Southwest of Penzence;
Senen is a very small town along the coast & is 1 mile away from Land's End;
St Ives is yet another small, quaint, lovely town & is 1 hour bus ride away from Penzence in the direction of Northeast of Penzence;
St Micheal's Mount is a linked island to Penzence;
These are really lovable and most treasured tiny places in the world that I will revisit as soon as i can! Is highly recommended by me if u r looking for a retreat from the hassle of daily life..
*Dash to Paddington Station at 9.50am, board the 10am train to Penzence.
*On train for 6 long hours, reading da vinci, talking to ming, sansan, ankit, biting my tomato cheese bread fr Upper Crust. Scenery along the train-side was another fantastic part of the trip - suddenly, u'll see green grassland w/ sheeps or cows or even goats standing ard eating grass; else, u'll see very traditional old england residential areas w/ red bricks, small gardens, wooden fences crawled on by beautiful blooming flowers of all colours; & not forgetting this very high metal steel modern bridge and upon looking down, u'll see cars & house abt 30metres below & a very huge sea on the other side; lastly, i'll definitely remember this scene.. i was looking out of my window on the right & got so bored cos it was a very tall hill of green grass so close to my window that i can reach the grass blades if i can open the windows.. & suddenly, ming asked me to look at the other side.. i just turned my head and *wow* a long horizon out into the dark blue sea littered with many sails and yachts and the water is just right next to the train! i wonder how does the green grass & the water stay side by side.. no beach? no sand? No! =) great beauty of nature!
*Reached Penzence @ 4pm. Tourist centre is closed. Bus to Land's End had just left. Wonder where to go? Standing at the bus terminal. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, on my left, i can see St Micheal's Mount; on my right, i can see Mousehole - a bay; & on my head top, i see so many sea gulls flying around! *growling* Lunch at Penzence Grill. Shop at Cornwall supermarket. Just hop onto the bus to St Ives! *a decision i never regret in my life*
*5pm. St Ives. Bus terminal at the top of the bay's hill, overlooking the sands where the low tide has left many little tributaries & sea gulls & a doggie chasing after the waves. Walked down the stones to reach the sand. So chilling. Atlantic Ocean Wind blowing on my face! Cross the main street of St Ives to the hill on the other side of the bay. & there is a small hill w/ a tiny 3m by 1m small chapel sitting on the top.. so cute! and there i see the 2nd longest horizon in my life!
