life away from Suntec office is definitely so heavenly...
Sat: Yanni jie's "How to be a good Advisor?" session... and we only managed to complete the IMAGE segment! Imagine a multi-millionaire's wife to give you 'free' (*yes!) image consultant! *great catch!* luckily i went! and haha... was on stage to be demo for "how to do a good hand-shake?" About 10 guys and gals came up to try & only one or two went through... haha... that's non other than our ladies-killer Mr Eddie Eng! & maybe Conradizzee... haha...
Sun: yippier to BATAM! SPA! BEACH! SWIMMING POOL! here i come...
quite proud of this trip cos i am the one to plan and book and liase ferry and hotel and everything.. *geez* i know is not what great defeat... but but but.. i am happy... and the truth is i am the only one who can blurt out a few lines of audible MALAY!!!
Guess what... makam at MAC then board the ferry with many people... sat on the top (meaning no aircon! - oh talking about this... was chatting with my mummy & suddenly pops out "Girl, you skin quite dry hor"; me thinking...""true hor... cos like me is 24hours in AIRCON!!! except that 5-10min walking out of my house, waiting for bus, walking to board cab & go home!"" this is indeed quite a long long time... maybe, you can start calculating for yourself!!)
Anyway, on board the ferry, was chatting with the malay uncle lah... haha... quite good PR skills... PR till uncle ask me to go see the deck and the captain's cabin.. The whole ferry of prob 80 people, only me went in.. haha...but was the chatting with uncle in lousy malay that's the funny thing...
Took the orangy van that burnt our butt to HARRIS RESORT!!!

Their service is not bad too... gave us a room.. oh... forget to mentioned that we took the earliest ferry... and met at Harbour front MAC at 7.30am.. haha... many had got the 'xian-not-enough-sleep' face throughout the whole trip... *not to mention who... make your own guess*
So, of course, we reached hotel so early before 12noon check out time.. and btw, Batam time is 1 hour behind Sg's.. so, we like 'earn' one more hour there.. so happy... cos is like so early... you feel good to be early and on time... ahha.. is a bluff to oneself.. but a happy bluff is always that a sad fact... *think so?*.. [disagree?! hhmm... haven't you heard of "a hard cold fact??? --> see, facts are cold and hard!]
So, flopped in the roomy room... cos is actually quite a big one... watched tv for awhile and those who are suppose to sleep went to bed accordingly and actually, got a phone stucked in the big big comfy sofa chair... (this part of the story is linked to 2nd day's amazing race!)
And, not being able to sit still and waste time in a room, we headed straight for some relazation... where else?? but the SPA counter!!!
"do you have ear waxing? pedi and mani?" -- NO! but they have it at Holiday Inn Resort!
Off we go to Holiday Inn Resort in a cab tat cost only S$2, carrying 4 of us...
hhmm... Holiday Inn Resort is definitely much better quality.. but i like Harris cos of the bright cherry orangy colour!
HIR is much more professional looking - those common hotel outlook you expect lor...
Oh.. the SPA... is called the Tea Tree Spa... aiyou... is like our Asian Village in Sentosa.. but the indonesian style.. with full length waterfall, big palm trees, calm soft music and under the sunny sun, there is a man standing there to welcome us... (the thing is we did not booked any time slots!)
Anyway, there is no Ear Waxing too... only leg, arms, and bikini (i would think this refer to whole body)... And let me give my verdict! --> Batam Ladies! are so Gentle, Caring, Xi-Xin, Cheerful, Positive, full of love! (and Singaporean ladies, gotta be CAREFUL where your bf or hubby walks to.. Don't let them trail off alone!!!) Even me melted when they touch my feet and rub them in the hot tub of water...
Imagine, at a split second, you feel like out of the whole, the work, busy schedule in office is suddenly another person's problem, not mine anymore! &
in that moment, your sky is sky blue, the grass is grass green, like you suddenly notice all these with details and lazying on the arm chair, looking up, it suddenly dawn on you that some where you still fit into the environment that is cooled by a wooden swirling fan! &
the lady dressed in batik is kneeling in front of you tenderly handling your feet, the pair of feet that you have long forgotten that they need to be treasured as much as your face and hair! Yet someone you barely know for minutes is gently massaging them, nicely patting them in the thick green towel and they care so much your feet that you feel, is this right?!
Am i exaggerating? go try it and mark my words... look for the lady called Tutik... i tell you! i will go back to batam the next time, stay in HIR and look for her again! heavenly!!!
And guess what beauty package i took up??? --> HALF LEG WAXING@!!! haha...
yes... painful? yes! but she is so soft and gentle that you can't scream... and in the midst of hundreds of tiny hair being forcefully plucked out of their folicle, yet i can SLEEP!!!!!!! i doze off!!!!!!!! is amazing!!!!!!! this is how good they are! Paid only S$25 for that & is worth it to feel like a PRINCESS! woohoo...
Gigi had pedicure... i bet she love it too...! I was sleeping till Conradizzee came... Darren & Conradizzee came to look for us... it was so nice... to doze off (and not to be screamed at by your boss) and then waking to see the *next* most caring face on earth...
Too hungry to explore HIR too much and head back to Harris.. had our free vege pizza in room & ordered Green Curry and this Malay Toufu dish.. (& they cost S$20, ehmmehm.. what to do, is room service)
By 3pm, we are off again to the Harris SPA! haha.. *drop glasses*
After the fantastic world class number 1 caring lady's service, whatever that comes by is rubbish! Harris's spa is located on the balcony of a 3-4storeys high 'desserted' building!
We kept circling the round stair to walk up and finally up, to be greeted by *not fountain or waterfall* but a swing in, wooden door! omg!
Then, after the admin, we were ursher to the outdoors... (okie, there is the good thing.. it is on the balcony... Real sun shinning on you, Real wind blowing into the attap-looking hut, Real birds chirping away - i seriously thought that the chirping with in-built in the music!!!)
Definitely, the service is many standards poorer than HIR! But friendliness is still there...
Starting with simple Leg Massage, Body Scrub, Shower, Massage, Body Mask, Jacuzzi with bubble and is outdoor! in the little hut!!!
The entire thing is quite amazing, i could still shout out to Justin next *door* haha..
Into Jacuzzi is fun experience too.. the bubble and stuffs... is a beautiful set up in the hut...
out walking around, spent some time to see the japanese suite... picture tells a 1000 word... very cute and real jap family bath!!
Dinner at kelong... alright, simple dinner...
Then Bowling!!!!!!!
I love bowling in Batam! Everything was good... No matter how i throw that 9 ball, it will go straight! and my scores was like 89, 101, and 70+...
I broke my 100 egg shell!! wowo...
Justin - Turkey-ed... = STRIKE THREE TIMES IN A ROW!!!
Competition --> Me and Conrad won Justin & Ying and Darren & Gigi.. cos of Conrad's crazy STRIKE & SPARE!!! Conrad totaled up to 140++ for that game!! *dropped glasses*

Such an energetic me can't leave the fun for long in exchange for sleep...
So, i woke up at 8+ SG time & is only 7+ at BATAM time... for so so so so so long.. i have never gotten up so early! haha... so, i swopped into my Swimming Suit... and dashed to the pool...
"I was swimming at 7.30am!" *shout out to let Terence know! haha...i finally did it!!!! *proud!*
Conradieezz joined me later & we played water polo... then breakfast... They have a chef there to fry omelette of all style!!! i had mushroom omelette, cheese omelette, kosong omelette... haha... so full... back to room to change and pack up... watched CNN showing this Jap guy, eating 54 hotdog bun!!! he is the world champion! crazy!!!! in i think 20 min!
Coming back is like amazing race... we bought Polo Ralph tops and t-shirts... then no where for lunch, so is back to Kelong for lunch... our ferry is at 2.15pm batam time... Till 2pm, we are still at the kelong makaning away.. Think it is like a little cloud in everybody's mind that no one is dreading to leave this heavenly place and only waiting for the other person to initiate the going back...
Suddenly, Ying exclaimed, "Where is my phone?"
Called Harris.. but comm breakdown... cos one duck, one chicken...
went back... they rushed up to the room... to the comfy big Sofa!! and there they found the flip phone... & i was busy changing our ferry schedule at the counter..
Jeep with Uncle from the Kelong sped us back to Waterfront Ferry Terminal, then 20min flew us to Serkupang Terminal! uncle even stop by a kopitiam to take his cap... haha... to think he still have the time to take a cap.. and prob change into batman suit, press a button and change the jeep into Bat mobil... haha... imaginary us on the non-aircon jeep... chatting away...
Yeah, happily back on the ferry... straight doze off in Conradizzee arm into fairy land... hoping to be back at the Holiday Inn Spa once again...
