from london... 1st & 2nd weekend - Stonehenge, Salisbury & London Eye...

sorry.. not update my blog for so long... =) cos was very busy with training and travelling and also.. I Have No Internet Access!!! Sorry... and also can't upload any photos for you guys...

Anyway, let me tell you more about my stay here in london...

Starting with my home... is along Fleet Street... it is in the financial district so there isn't a single soul during weekends... is a small winding road into my house... i stay along lombard lane... and interesting enough, i stay in a basement house... my room is in the basement... and the interior decor is all so white and shiny and silverish... very beautiful and i like it alot!!! alot!! and esp the bathroom.. is white and bright... and there is a bathtub!! *geez*
and i love the living room too!! there is a dishwasher too... wow... but this machine is giving me headache... not cleaning dishes really clean... so still sometimes, it is better to use your Hands! well, the living room is a open concept one... meaning there is nothing blocking the cooking area and living room and the dining room... nice nice...
my room is small but cozy though.... nice lights and comfy bed...

next... during the first weekend, i was covent garden on sat and leiscester square - regent street festival on sunday... yup.. din do much... just walking around and taking photos... but the festival was quite 'happening'... lots of booths and even big gigantic teddy bears and toys as prize...

moving on to the next weekend, 10th and 11h sept... went to Stonehenge, Salisbury and London Eye... took a train at waterloo to Salisbury.. and then a bus to Stonehenge...

Stonehenge - is couple of stones stacked together... ok... i may sound bored about that place... but definitely, it is so different when you are there... cos i was there with 10 other friends... including me is 11... 3 from singapore (Me, Joyce, Xinming), 7 from Japan (Carl-grew up in Mississippi, working in japan; Angkit-Indian nationality, working in Jp; Kay0; Io; Yukari; Yuki; Katz) and Albert from Australia... and there is an audio aid to help you understand the stones, myths, and why (which is still an unknown) they put together the stones... was a cloudy day when i was there... and windy too... beautiful weather and green grass all around... will feel a sudden strong sense solemn when you walk around the stones.. many of my friends and colleagues did mention that there is nothing much there.. just a few pieces of stones which is fenced up and you get to see them from 100 m away.. *rubbish!!* I can attest to the beauty of that place... seriously... if is so lousy, why on earth in the sane mind will your friend here say that it is BeauTiFul?? =) definitely there is something there... really!! wait till you see my photos...

Next, bus back to Salisbury... and we walked around the place... is a small quaint village... had lunch in a chinese restaurant for £7 buffet... not very nice.. but it is chinese food!!! wow...
Walked all the way to Salisbury Church!!... one of the tallest church in the world.. but sadly, we missed the last trip up that 300++ steps to the top... however, in the church itself, i Love the Pipe Organ... sounds so soothing as compared to that sound croaking from my organ... and we were right on time to hear the boys choir practicing..yes boys... young boys aged less that 12... so cute.. they are clothed in deep green coat and standing in straight line in the centre of the church in between the pipe organ in front of the wooden stand for their scorebooks... and the nice courtyard that turns out to be a graveyard...

Backed to London.. slightly drizzling and we headed straight for London Eye... what an impulsive decision... *sh*t* 'cos we can't take pictures up there as the raindrops reflect every flash and every non-flash... so we just talked and see wherever we can and try to identify as many places as we can too... all in all, it was fun though.. it was 135m up in the air and was around 1/2 hours... cost £12.50 (wat i paid) but little did i know that if you have Oyster Pass (which everyone of us has), the price is cut Half!! so do remember! To summarize, in CxxL's words, 'is fast, because the crowd was so fun...' Hungry stomach... head for dinner at Thai restaurant at leiscester square... and then joyce's birthday celebration at a tiny yet posh cake shop.. and Home-Sweet-Home!!!
